Recipe for an On Campus Rover Crew

Ingredients:

  • 5 Rovers
  • Enough Dedication for each Rover to keep Crew warm
  • 1 understanding Advisor
  • 1 Hell of a lot of Spirit

Take the 5 Rovers and try to get them together in one room when they don't have any pressing recipes (usually referred to as courses, or assignments by the Rovers) to do. Add one Advisor to get you on task so that you can be done before the next morning (unlike many recipes). Mix in spirit a little at a time; some for recruitment, some for community projects, some for moots. Recruitment is a necessary part of any Rover Crew dish, without additional ingredients the Crew may never be able to server enough people. To acquire additional ingredients put up posters telling about your recipe and how much fun, experience and Scouting one can get out of it. With any luck, you can get another 5 Rovers to compliment your dish.

On campus Rover Crews are very difficult to get to rise, and once they have risen take a great deal to keep them cooking. The largest problem with Rovers and the University kitchen is that many Rovers are needed for other recipes. This is where the dedication comes into play, cooking times have to be arranged around other recipes so that everything can be made in time and fun can still be had. A bowl for the Rovers and Advisor to be mixed in is also essential. You need a small bowl, so that each ingredient can interact, and it needs to be away from other cooking currently going on so that the ingredients attention is kept by the Crew recipe.

I have found that this recipe is marvelous! My recipe was started three years ago (by yours truely) and is still cooking. I hope you can use this recipe and that it brings you the same enjoyment in cooking that it has brought me.
